Salary: £56,100 - £63,200 + up to 12% annual bonus
KFM is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Theatre and Endoscopy Technician to lead the delivery of technical services across our busy theatre and endoscopy environments.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled medical equipment professional to combine advanced technical expertise with operational leadership, helping ensure that critical clinical equipment remains safe, compliant, and available to support world-class patient care.
As the lead specialist within the service, you will be responsible for operational performance, team leadership, service development, and technical governance while acting as a trusted expert to clinical and operational stakeholders.

Lead the delivery of technical services across theatre and endoscopy environments.

Act as the specialist technical authority for complex medical equipment and systems.

Ensure equipment readiness, maintenance, compliance, and lifecycle management.

Manage and develop a team of technical professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management.

Lead training and competency programmes for clinical and technical staff.

Drive service improvement initiatives, innovation, and operational efficiency.

Support governance, risk management, incident investigations, and quality assurance activities.

Work collaboratively with clinical teams, procurement, suppliers, and managed service partners.

Experience managing specialist medical equipment within a clinical environment.

Strong operational leadership and team management experience.

Highly developed technical knowledge of medical devices and healthcare technology.

Experience of service planning, continuous improvement, and change management.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of NHS governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

Relevant degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or technical discipline.

Manufacturer training on comparable medical equipment.

Registration as a Clinical Technologist (or equivalent).

Evidence of continuing professional development.

Coaching, mentoring, or leadership development experience.
