The Role
We’re looking for a confident, organised and personable individual to join our team in a customer experience and sales support role.
This position is heavily focused on existing customer relationships - making sure customers have everything they need, supporting them with enquiries, identifying opportunities to help improve their processes, and delivering an excellent overall experience.
You’ll be speaking with customers daily by phone and email, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact for their abrasives and tooling requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Speaking with existing customers and building strong working relationships
● Handling inbound customer enquiries via phone and email
● Supporting customers with product recommendations and technical queries
● Looking for opportunities to add value through alternative products or process improvements
● Following up quotations and ongoing orders
● Working closely with suppliers and internal teams
● Using CRM and internal systems to maintain accurate customer records
● Helping ensure customers receive a fast, reliable and professional service
● Learning about industrial abrasives, tooling and customer applications
About You We’re looking for someone who:
● Enjoys speaking with people and building rapport
● Is confident on the phone and in written communication
● Is organised and detail-oriented
● Has good problem-solving skills and uses initiative
● Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
● Is eager to learn and develop product knowledge
● Works well within a team environment
● Previous sales or customer service experience is beneficial, but attitude and communication skills are most important

Interview Process
Stage 1 – Informal Meeting An informal chat to discuss the role, learn more about SAIC, and give you the opportunity to tell us about your background and experience.
Stage 2 – Presentation Task A second-stage interview involving a short presentation focused on the customer journey and customer experience. This is an opportunity to show your communication skills, problem-solving approach and how you would engage with customers.
