The Head Office of a continuously growing privately-owned group of diverse businesses is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team based at the Head Office in the rural location of Tilford, near Farnham in Surrey. This is a Monday-to-Friday office-based and full-time role of a standard 40 hours per week.
The role offers a starting salary of £28,000 per annum depending on experience as well as enrolment in the NEST pension scheme. The company operates a discretionary bonus scheme as well as work birthday and winter discretionary bonuses. The company has free on-site parking and kitchen facilities.
The successful candidate will be involved in many aspects of the business primarily providing administrative and office support to the Property Management Team giving them the chance to learn and develop within the company. The role is ideal for someone with a forward-thinking, hands-on and ‘can do’ attitude who is looking to play their part in the day-to-day organisation and activities of a busy office.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Good telephone manner
- A self-starter, able to effectively manage their own workload and respond to changing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional organisation skills
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills – the role will involve some element of dictation, audio and copy typing
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Confident with Microsoft Office packages
Duties to include:
- First responder and ‘front of house’: dealing with incoming enquiries by way of telephone, email etc and responding appropriately
- Distributing and despatching post as appropriate
- Filing and keeping both paper and electronic records updated
- Provide general administrative support to directors and colleagues across all departments
- Travel and flight arrangements for Directors
- Maintaining stationary, office and kitchen consumable supplies
- Dealing with incoming deliveries and unpacking as required
- Plan in-house or off-site activities for example, lunch, celebrations, birthdays and conferences
- Run general errands as required
- Provide cover for the Group’s PA team when required and during periods of annual leave
