North Duffield CP School is a small friendly village looking to recruit a cleaner to join their school. This is an opportunity to be a part of a small, friendly cleaning team that plays a key role in the school. As a cleaner, you will ensure that cleaning duties are undertaken within allocated timescales and take a flexible approach in order to meet the school’s requirements. We are offering a 12.5 hours per week, term time hours are before or after the school day, with some flexibility during the school holidays, this can be discussed further at the interview stage. There is also the possibility of additional hours as Relief Kitchen Assistant for the right candidate.
Duties will include (but not exhaustive):
- General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings
- Dust control mopping/sweeping of floors
- Cleaning and polishing floors using electrical buffing machine
- Damp/wet mopping of floors
- Polishing furniture, cleaning internal glass
- Cleaning of sanitary fittings
- To use cleaning materials as instructed
- Emptying of waste paper bins
- Wiping surfaces, fixtures and fittings & paintwork
The post is required to work with cleaning equipment and products which contain chemicals, but the necessary protective clothing will be provided. Experience would be useful although full training would be given.
