We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pub Assistant Manager to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily pub operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and high standards of customer satisfaction
- Supervise and support staff, including serving personnel and kitchen team members, fostering a positive team environment
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards and food safety regulations
- Coordinate food production activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders and efficient utilisation of resources
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards across all areas, including the bar, kitchen, and dining spaces
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality services, including serving customers and managing complaints professionally
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and food safety standards
- Assist with stock control, ordering supplies as needed to maintain inventory levels
- Support marketing initiatives to promote the pub’s offerings and special events
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or pub environments with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving
- Supervising experience with demonstrated team management capabilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Extensive hospitality background including restaurant experience, culinary expertise, or hotel industry exposure
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production and kitchen management
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to customer service
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with bar operations is advantageous but not essential
- A proactive attitude with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
