Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages (children and adults) and abilities, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to share your expertise in sports coaching and teaching, helping clients achieve their swimming goals while promoting water safety. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective swimming lessons tailored to the individual needs of participants
- Ensure the safety of all swimmers by enforcing pool rules and monitoring water conditions at all times
- Develop customised lesson plans that promote skill development, water safety, and confidence-building
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to learners to facilitate progress
- Maintain a clean and organised pool area, including equipment management and safety checks
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and enjoyment
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments for each participant
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within a swimming or aquatic environment
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, water safety protocols, and first aid procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Certification in lifeguarding or water safety training is desirable but not essential; relevant training can be provided during employment
