Location: Based in Teddington, Greater London
Salary: £47,000 to £50,000 per annum
We are looking for a Deputy Cleaning & Logistics Manager to join our team and to look after both Cleaning and Logistics for our client in Teddington, West London and to ensure all contract standards required by the client are achieved. You will be supporting the Cleaning of a multi-building site and Customs and Taxation of goods passing through the ILS as guided by current HMRC regulations on behalf of the client.
As a Deputy Cleaning & Logistics Manager you’ll be:
- Support the Site Operations Manager in the overall leadership and coordination of cleaning and logistics operations on site.
- Take primary ownership for the daily delivery of all SLAs, KPIs, and work orders, ensuring targets are met consistently across shifts.
- Monitor and enforce quality standards for specialised logistics movements, and related services, cleaning, waste management and conducting regular quality inspections and audits.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, company policies, client specifications, and any relevant industry standards (including COSHH, PPE, and site-specific rules).
- Oversee the planning, allocation, and completion of daily and scheduled work orders; adjust resources in real time to maintain service levels.
- Supervise and motivate cleaning and logistics teams, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
As a Deputy Cleaning & Logistics Manager you’ll have:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or deputy management role within cleaning, facilities management, soft services, or logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of SLA and KPI management, with a track record of consistently delivering against contractual performance targets.
- Solid knowledge of quality assurance processes, cleaning standards, and operational compliance in a multi-service environment.
- Experience supervising teams and managing day-to-day operational delivery under pressure.
- Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation relevant to cleaning and logistics environments.
