They are now seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to take ownership of a diverse commercial book. This is not a “standard” servicing role; the position offers exposure to more technical risks, varied sectors, and a greater level of responsibility across both existing business and new business broking activity.
The Role
Working closely with Account Executives and the wider broking team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, advisory-led service to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and servicing a varied and complex portfolio of commercial clients
- Handling mid to more technically complex commercial risks across a range of products
- Supporting Account Executives with renewals, MTAs, and new business broking
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Liaising with insurers to negotiate terms, cover, and premiums
- Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and best practice across all documentation and processes
About You
This role will suit an Account Handler who is technically confident and motivated to progress into a more challenging commercial environment.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in commercial insurance broking or account handling
- Exposure to a broad range of commercial products and risk types
- Strong knowledge of the UK insurance market and insurer appetite
- A desire to work with more complex cases rather than volume-driven policies
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- A professional, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Ambition, tenacity, and a genuine interest in developing your technical capability
