We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team on a part-time basis (21 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday). What you'll be doing
As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll help create an environment where children feel safe, happy and excited to learn.
You'll:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support each child's individual interests, abilities and stage of development.
- Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover and build confidence through play.
- Observe, assess and celebrate children's progress, using the EYFS framework to plan meaningful next steps in learning.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents and carers, working in partnership to support every child's development.
- Support children's emotional wellbeing, communication, independence and social development through warm, responsive interactions.
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and learning records that celebrate children's achievements and inform future planning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care, education and professionalism across the nursery.
- Support smooth daily routines while ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and children's wellbeing remain central to everything you do.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A DfE-approved Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding.
- A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children develop confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
