About the Role:
Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Pipefitters to join our team, working from our Clutton workshop and on client projects across Bristol and the surrounding areas.
This is a varied role covering both offsite manufacture and site installation.
You will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of prefabricated mechanical plant skids and modular pipework systems, followed by their installation, connection and integration with the associated mechanical pipework distribution systems on site.
The role therefore suits experienced Pipefitters who are comfortable working in both a workshop and live project environment.
Fuel allowance is provided when travelling between our workshop and client sites, with company vehicles a potential option, subject to availability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Fabricating and assembling modular mechanical plant skids and prefabricated pipework
- Installing and connecting modular skids on client sites
- Installing associated mechanical pipework distribution systems
- Installing pipework between plant, equipment and wider building services systems
- Working with carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework, typically from 2½" up to 10"/12"
- Working with screwed, press-fit, soldered/brazed and fabricated pipework systems as required
- Measuring, setting out and installing accurately from fabrication and installation drawings
- Assisting with testing, inspection and quality checks on completed installations
- Working closely with welders, fabricators, supervisors and project teams
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship
Who We’re Looking For
We want to hear from experienced Pipefitters / Mechanical Pipefitters with a background in commercial or industrial mechanical services.
You should have proven experience in mechanical pipework installation and ideally be familiar with:
- Modular plant skids
- Commercial and industrial plant rooms
- Prefabricated pipework systems
- Offsite manufacturing
- Carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework
- Reading fabrication and installation drawings
- Accurate setting out and installation
- Testing and completion of mechanical systems
We are looking for people who are reliable, safety-conscious, quality-focused and take pride in their workmanship.
NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent mechanical trade qualifications.
