Lead Support Worker – Digital Media Services
We're currently recruiting for a Lead Support Worker within our Digital Media Day Service to oversee the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring a safe, engaging, and person-centred environment for those who attend.
The successful candidate will lead and support the staff team, coordinate service delivery, and complete the administrative and managerial responsibilities required to ensure the service operates effectively and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting people to develop their skills, interests, and independence through digital media activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Digital Media department.
- Support, supervise and manage the staff team, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Carry out staff supervisions, annual appraisals, and identify training and development needs.
- Ensure all supervision and appraisal records are completed and maintained appropriately.
- Complete administrative duties, maintain accurate records, and ensure all documentation is up to date and inspection-ready.
- Ensure all individuals attending the service have person-centred plans in place and that regular reviews are completed.
- Coordinate activities and opportunities that promote creativity, independence, confidence, and skill development through digital media.
- Support individuals to access meaningful opportunities, build relationships, and participate fully within their communities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure positive outcomes for those attending the service.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and best practice at all times.
- Assist with rota planning and resource management to ensure the smooth running of the service.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or additional support needs.
- Has previous experience leading or supervising a team.
- Is organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to delivering person-centred support and achieving positive outcomes.
- Has an interest in digital media, creative projects, or technology-based activities.
- Can motivate and develop both staff and the people we support.
