Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of the charity shop, including sales, stock merchandising, and customer service excellence
- Supervise and motivate a diverse team of volunteers and staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee daily administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory control, and financial record-keeping with precision and organization
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize sales potential and attract customers
- Maintain excellent communication with team members, volunteers, donors, and community partners to ensure smooth operations
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating strong phone etiquette and organizational skills
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold the shop’s standards of cleanliness and safety
Experience
- Proven management or supervisory experience within retail or charity environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster teamwork
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages are highly desirable; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated success in sales management, merchandising, and customer service excellence
- Experience in administrative tasks such as record keeping, stock management, and scheduling
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing time efficiently in a busy setting
- Previous experience supervising volunteers or staff in a retail or community-focused environment is advantageous

Pay: £13.70 per hour
