Main Purpose:
The OSS and Community Engagement Coordinator will lead on mapping services in the County; forming partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies based on identified needs of the service to enhance and extend multi-disciplinary knowledge available at and through the Hertfordshire VAWG Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies to develop a range of support options that meet survivors’ safety, social, health and financial needs.
- Champion equality, diversity and empowerment across all areas of service delivery.
- Support service performance by contributing to data monitoring, reporting and improvement activity.
- Deliver presentations and training sessions to a variety of audiences, including partner agencies.
- Support the Service Manager in ensuring effective service delivery within budgetary parameters.
General
- The role holder will be expected to perform any other duties that may reasonably be asked of them.
- To participate fully in on call on a rota basis or as required in the delivery of out of hours service.
- Be able to Recognise; Respond to; Report and Record Safeguarding issues and understand and make quality Safeguarding referrals.
- Remain up-to-date and compliant with all organisational procedures policies and professional codes of conduct and uphold standards of best practice.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Significant experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse, stalking, sexual violence, including children and families.
- Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse, stalking, sexual violence, trauma, and safeguarding.
- Knowledge of roles and responsibilities of various statutory and voluntary organisations.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
Qualifications:
- Hold an IDVA, ISAC, ISVA training certificate, Level 3 Skills for Justice NVQ, or substantial relevant experience and a willingness to complete a qualification within the first 6 months.
