JGD Haulage is a growing, family-run transport company looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Mechanic to support our expanding fleet maintenance operation. You'll be responsible for maintaining our own fleet of HGVs and trailers, while also providing servicing, repairs and breakdown support for third-party customers.

The Role
- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and trailers.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT.
- Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
- Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
- Deliver excellent customer service to third-party clients.
- Work independently from a fully equipped mobile workshop van with quality tools and diagnostic equipment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as an HGV Mechanic/Technician.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on HGVs and trailers.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).
- A positive attitude with pride in producing high-quality work.

Flexibility Required
This role requires Saturday working as part of the normal working week. Outside of this, we offer flexibility with working days and hours to help achieve a good work-life balance while meeting the needs of the business.
Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is essential, as participation in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours breakdown call-outs will be required. All call-outs and overtime are paid at enhanced premium rates.
