Job Details
We are looking forward to appointing a friendly and hard-working Lunchtime Assistant to support the lunchtime sessions with children aged 3-4 in our Nursery School, 5 hours per week, 12 - 1pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only (with the occasional flexibility to start work at 11.30am when needed). During lunchtimes, you will be sitting with a small group of children, encouraging them to develop independence skills and creating a warm, nurturing atmosphere, then helping with clearing away and washing up afterwards.
What You Need to Succeed
The successful candidates will need to work efficiently and as part of a team. They will need to have a basic understanding of the principles of food hygiene and either hold or be willing to undergo training for a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
They will also have the ability to see what needs to be done and use their initiative. A love of children is essential for the post, but no childcare qualifications are required, although these would be most welcome. Some previous experience in a similar role is also desirable, but not essential.
5 hours a week Monday to Friday ,from 12pm-1pm (with the occasional flexibility to start work at 11.30am when needed).
