Hours : 10-20 hours per week, to be worked flexibly with core hours to be agreed and to include occasional evening/weekend work

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the smooth running of the facilities on a daily basis by checking everything is set up as requested and making any necessary adjustments.
Main Responsibilities:
General
- Setting up facilities in accordance with both the Centre diary and the hirer’s requests.
- Working with the Centre Manager consulting the room bookings diary to ensure all bookings are in the future planning.
- Ensuring hirers are aware of any health and safety issues pertaining to their event, including emergency procedures.
- Ensuring all areas of the Centre are lit and heated as appropriate.
- Provide assistance to the cleaners when necessary and ensure the cleanliness of the Centre at all times
- Assist and participate in the rota for locking up the building.
- Coordinate staff and volunteers in all aspects of the role
- Identify and carry out, within capabilities, remedial work and minor repairs
- Oversee contractors when on site
- Accept deliveries, check delivery notes and store as appropriate
- Support the Centre Manager dealing with customer enquiries and cctv system
- Assist with regular health and safety checks in the Centre
Other
- Provide some ‘on call’ service for out of hours emergencies.
- Deal with general customer enquiries as appropriate

- Work in a collaborative and supportive manner with all staff and volunteers involved in the on-going operation of the centre.
- Work additional hours as required.
- Any other duties that may from time to time be required by the Centre
