Main duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities
· To operate and set all machines including Saws, thread cutter and CNC
· To work to customer specifications with minimum supervision once trained
· To work to tight tolerances and be responsible for your own work ensuring the highest quality is maintained at all times
· To work to your own initiative and understand the manufacturing process
· Report any tooling requirements to your immediate supervisor
· Keep a clean and manageable working area
· To take a responsible approach to Health, Safety and Environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate
· Ability to identify hazards
· Undertake other tasks of machine shop where competent in order to cover holidays/absence
· Understand and follow CTD communication Strategy always and maintain KPI expectations
· Any other duties for which you are deemed capable of by supervisor and manager.
Skills
· Previous experience of general machine setting essential (training will be given on all machines)
· Previous experience of reading basic engineering drawings
· Keen attention to detail
Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 17.00pm and Friday 08:30 – 16:00pm.
