Head of Operations — BC Fitness (BCHQ) Part-time |
Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 9am–5pm | £15–£19 per hour, dependent on experience
About us
BC Fitness is a group-training and personal training business built around real results, tight-knit coaching, and a community our members are genuinely part of. Alongside our coaching, we run the PT Academy, training the next generation of personal trainers. We're growing fast, and we need someone to run the engine room so the coaching team can focus on coaching.
The role
We're looking for a Head of Operations to be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. You'll own the systems, schedules, and day-to-day admin that keep BC Fitness running smoothly — and you'll take the lead on planning and coordinating everything from member events and challenges to PT Academy intake days.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys organising, tracking detail, and being the go-to person who knows where everything stands.
What you'll do
- Run the operational backbone of the business: scheduling, supplier and venue coordination, member admin, and day-to-day problem solving
- Plan and coordinate member events end-to-end — logistics, timelines, bookings, on-the-day running order — for things like challenges, launches, and community meetups
- Support the PT Academy: coordinating cohort schedules, enrolments, tutor/mentor logistics, and keeping student records straight
- Keep a close eye on the details others miss — contracts, invoicing, compliance paperwork, session tracking
- Be the point of contact that keeps coaches, clients, and suppliers all moving in the same direction
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in operations, business administration, or event coordination
- Excellent attention to detail — you catch the small things before they become big problems
- Comfortable juggling multiple moving parts and prioritising without being told what to do next
- Strong communicator who can work directly with coaches, members, and external suppliers
- Experience in fitness, sport, or a similarly fast-paced small business is a bonus, not essential
The details
- Part-time: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9am–5pm (24 hours/week)
- Pay: £15–£19 per hour depending on experience (reviewed after probation)
- Based at BC Fitness, St Nicholas Bridge Business Park, Carlisle, Cumbria.
- Reports directly to the owner
Pay: £16,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Operations management/ admin: 2 years (required)
Work Location: In person
