Summary
Join our team as a Community Pharmacist (with experience delivering weight loss services) in South East London. We have an exciting new opportunity to play a key role in a growing, clinically-led service whilst maintaining high standards of core community practice.
In this vital role, you will deliver expert pharmaceutical services and support patient health outcomes, embodying our commitment to quality care and community service. You will work closely with patients in both face to face and online or telephone consultations to support long term health outcomes through evidence based interventions and ongoing clinical monitoring.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services, with a particular focus on our structured weight management clinic.
- Providing safe, effective, and compliant community pharmacy services
- Delivering private weight loss consultations including eligibility assessment and follow-up
- Prescribing or supplying weight load medications in line with PGDs or independent prescribing qualification (where applicable)
- Supporting patients using GLP-1 therapies (e.g semaglutide, liraglutide, tirzepatide where appropriate).
- Monitoring outcomes, managing side effects and promoting lifestyle change
- Maintaining accurate clinical records, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies
- Contributing to service growth, patient engagement, and service promotion
- Supporting and supervising pharmacy staff as required to deliver exceptional customer care.
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and safety standards.
- Provide expert advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans.
- Educate patients on health management and medication adherence.
- Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure continuous service.
Qualifications
We are looking for a pharmacist who is clinically confident, commercially aware and passionate about preventative healthcare.
Essential requirements:
- Qualified Pharmacist with a valid GPhC registration in the UK.
- Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting and delivering weight loss services
- Strong communication, consultation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care, sound clinical judgement and patient safety.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (such as Analyst) preferred.
Desirable attributes:
- Independent Prescriber qualification (or working towards)
- Experience with GLP-1 agonists and structured weight management programmes
- Previous involvement in private or enhanced pharmacy services
- Interest in service development and clinical leadership

Pay: £38,148.10-£68,643.34 per year
