As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious individual to join our management team as a Fast Track Assistant Manager. This is an exciting development opportunity designed for someone who wishes to progress into care management while receiving structured support, mentoring and formal training that includes both internal mentorship and several external courses.
Working closely with our Team Leader and supporting the Registered Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining high-quality care standards while developing your own leadership skills.
About the Role
This is a structured six-month training programme designed to develop you into a competent and confident Assistant Manager.
During your training you will receive support in:
- Care coordination and scheduling
- CQC compliance and quality assurance
- Birdie care management software induction
- Medication management
- Leadership and communication
- Legislative and regulatory requirements
- External accredited training relevant to the role
Following successful completion of training, you will become a key member of our management team.
Any overtime you pick up will be paid at the rate of Level 4. This will also incur a bonus called Excellence Bonus that we can cover during your interview.
You will be part office based and part field based. Your core working hours will be 08:00 – 16:30hrs Mon – Thurs and 08:00 – 16:00hrs on a Friday.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the Registered Manager and Team Leader by:
- Conducting staff spot checks and competency observations.
- Carrying out quality monitoring using Birdie outcomes and reporting.
- Supporting care staff through coaching, guidance and problem-solving.
- Building positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Assisting with rota management and responding to emergency care cover.
- Undertaking field visits to clients in the community.
- Supporting CQC compliance, inspections and continual service improvement.
- Monitoring, ordering and managing medication for designated clients.
- Supporting the implementation and development of the Birdie care management system.
- Assisting with the continued growth of our Live-in Care service.
- Supporting the development of our Ear Microsuction division.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Handling confidential information in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Essential Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a full UK driving licence.
- Has access to a reliable car for work purposes (this is non-negotiable).
- Has excellent spoken and written English.
- Is confident using technology and willing to learn new software systems.
- Is organised and able to prioritise effectively.
- Is honest, trustworthy and dependable.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and enjoys solving problems.
- Is comfortable making informed decisions and managing challenges.

- Is comfortable working around two cats that will regularly visit the office.
Desirable
- Experience working within domiciliary care.
- Experience of care coordination or scheduling.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations.
- Experience using Birdie or similar care management software.
- Medication administration experience.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards higher qualifications).
