Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Hip Hop Teacher to join our vibrant dance school in August. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dance, particularly Hip Hop, and possess the ability to inspire our Upper School students of high school age. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop students' dance skills while fostering confidence and creativity in a supportive environment. Duties
- Deliver engaging and energetic Hip Hop dance classes tailored to students in S1+
- Develop customised lesson plans that promote technical skills, rhythm, and musicality
- Demonstrate dance techniques clearly and effectively, ensuring student safety and proper form
- Motivate students to achieve their personal best while maintaining a positive learning environment
- Organise and supervise warm-up exercises, rehearsals, and performances
- Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage progress and confidence
- Collaborate with other instructors to plan special events, workshops, or performances
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour that reflects the values of the academy
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching Hip Hop or street dance styles, with a strong portfolio or demo reel preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with students of all ages
- A good understanding of dance techniques, musicality, and choreography
- Ability to motivate and inspire students in a fun yet disciplined manner
- Flexibility to adapt lessons based on student needs and skill levels
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dance are advantageous but not essential for highly experienced candidates
- A positive attitude, organisational skills, and a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment
