Overview
We are seeking 2 self employed reliable and skilled Drivers/loaders to join our team approximately 1-2 days per week, and sometimes more during busier periods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires good communication skills and consideration of customers belongings.
Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles, including long wheel base vans and Luton box vans, for the delivery of goods.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo which includes manual handling, maintaining the integrity of products during transit.
- Communicate effectively with management and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving to ensure safety on the road.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred, but not essential as full training will be given.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- A valid UK driving licence required.
Wage dependant on experience with the opportunity for this to increase.
