Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team on a part-time basis, working three days per week. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in accounting and financial administration to contribute to our organisation’s financial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. Prior experience with accounting software is desirable, but training will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage cloud and Xero to record financial transactions
- Assist with data entry and reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate financial records
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare basic financial reports and summaries as required
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures related to financial management
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve workflow efficiencies and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with accounting software such as Sage, or Xero is required
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and general bookkeeping practices
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during scheduled days
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Prior experience in finance or administrative roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
This position offers flexible part-time hours across three days each week, ideal for individuals seeking a balanced work schedule while gaining valuable experience in financial administration.
Pay: £24,420.00-£33,000.00 per year
