Due to the company’s expanding activities, we have several opportunities for experienced and skilled CNC Machine Setter / Operators to join our existing team on a permanent and full time basis.
We have roles available on large CNC milling machines and we need our candidates to be adaptable and flexible.
Our ideal candidate will have successfully completed an Engineering apprenticeship involving CNC miling, leading onto a career within the Engineering sector utilising and developing these skills further.
The company works on a 3 shift system during the week, but we are looking to offer an additional compressed working pattern over the weekends. We have vacancies to fill on the following shift pattern:
Weekend Night Shift 18:00 - 06:00 Friday, Saturday & Sunday
The shifts are 3 x 12 hr shifts, however you will be paid for 37.5hrs and paid for your break
Weekend Night shift premium = 40% on top of your hourly rate
Additional overtime will usually be available during the week, premium rates are paid for overtime at 1.5x (time and a half)
The Role:
Working as part of a skilled team, you will be machining critical components which are used on a variety of projects within the Nuclear, Oil & Gas & Defence sectors. These components are often made from exotic alloys and require high standards of workmanship in order to comply with internal and customer specifications.
The majority of the work being produced is for long term multi-year projects which are likely to repeat in the future, providing unrivalled job security for the right individuals.
You will need to be self-motivated and determined with consistently high standards.
You may be required to apply for and obtain national security clearance which the company will sponsor you for.
