Parker Smith Inclusion is working with supportive primary, secondary and specialist schools across Camden that are looking for ambitious graduates to join them as Teaching Assistants from September.
No previous school experience is required.
This is a hands-on role where you will make a genuine difference to pupils while developing practical experience for a future career in education, psychology, therapy, mental health or social care.
What will your day involve?
You could be:
- Supporting a pupil who lacks confidence in the classroom
- Helping children with autism, ADHD or additional learning needs
- Working with small groups on literacy, numeracy or communication
- Supporting pupils with their behaviour and emotional regulation
- Encouraging independence and positive engagement
- Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom activities
- Becoming a trusted and consistent adult for a young person
You will gain direct experience of how schools support learning, behaviour, communication and wellbeing.
We would like to hear from you if you:
- Have completed a degree in any subject
- Are interested in working with children or young people
- Are patient, reliable and able to communicate confidently
- Are considering teaching, educational psychology, therapy or mental health
- Can commit to a long-term position
- Are available full-time, Monday to Friday
You may already have relevant experience through tutoring, coaching, childcare, youth work, volunteering, care work or mentoring.
