Join us at our new opening The Kiln Cafe and our vibrant team as a Barista/All Rounder and become the heart of our bustling café! In this dynamic role, you'll craft delicious beverages, serve our valued customers with enthusiasm, and assist with others to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through our doors. We offer free meals on shift, easy working/social life balance and a relaxed fun working environment.
Shift patterns from the start will mainly be Mon-Fri 7am-3pm. We will be looking at opening on weekends toward christmas.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Potentially assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks to maintain quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the café, adhering to food safety regulations
- Manage cash register operations accurately using basic math skills for transactions
- Keep the workspace organized, stocked, and ready for busy periods by restocking supplies as needed
- Support team members during peak times by multitasking across roles including serving, cleaning, and prep work
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or a strong interest in developing coffee-making skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards
- Experience in serving customers in fast-paced environments with excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- A positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
