We're looking for an experienced Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to join our team.This role may particularly suit someone who has already built their career in practice and is now looking for greater work-life balance, more flexibility, or the opportunity to work within a supportive, close-knit team where their experience can genuinely make a difference.

About the Role
This is a hands-on accounting position with plenty of variety. You'll manage your own portfolio of clients while supporting less experienced members of the team by sharing your knowledge and experience.We value professionalism, reliability and practical experience above hierarchy, and we're looking for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Building trusted relationships with clients and acting as one of their key contacts.
- Working alongside the Directors to continue providing an excellent service to our clients.
About You
You may be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, AAT qualified, qualified by experience, or have simply built an excellent career through many years in accountancy practice.
What matters most is that you are:
- Experienced in working within an accountancy practice.
- Organised, dependable and able to manage your own workload.
- Comfortable communicating with clients.
- Happy to support and encourage less experienced colleagues.
- Someone who enjoys producing high-quality work and taking pride in what you do.
Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar would be advantageous.
