Role: Occupational Health Technician
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri) infrequent evening/night shift work may be required

We have a team of experts who uphold our clinical standards and support a highly trained team of Occupational Health Technicians who have a wide range of work experience.
What you will do in the role
You will provide a provision of health assessment and health surveillance programmes for a variety of clients throughout the region, including the following responsibilities:
- A range variety of screening tests and techniques, e.g. Spirometry, Audiometry, blood pressure monitoring
- Perform Fitness for Work Medicals including, Safety Critical, Working at Heights, FLT etc
- Delivering Health MOT checks and well-being advice
- Day to day maintenance of health screening equipment and facilities
- Recording and maintaining clear, concise medical records
- Ensuring safe storage of medical records and equipment when offsite
- Driving mobile health screening units as required
- Working to strict protocols and procedures
- Observing clients in the workplace in order to gain an understanding of the nature of the work involved in their role
- Working on and towards the Innovate Purpose, and contributing to the organisation’s culture and values

Skills & Experience
Although experience in a healthcare environment or an Occupational Health setting is desirable, it is not essential. The role is suitable for new and recent graduates coming from educational backgrounds such as Sports & Exercise Science/Sports Therapy/Sports Rehabilitation or similar.
This is a very varied role enabling the job holder to undertake a broad remit of work and become multiskilled across a variety of testing techniques and assessments.
Person Specification
- Full manual driving licence, with no more than 6 points
- Willing to travel and stay overnight when required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to act on your own initiative and work independently
- Possess good organisational and prioritisation skills
- Able to thrive in a busy work environment
- Can build strong and effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
- IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages
- Can demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
- Punctual and reliable
