Compass are a niche apprenticeship provider within the fire safety and health & safety sectors. We are looking for the right person as an addition to our team. The Employer Engagement Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers and alumni that enhances apprentices opportunities and progression outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Employer Partnerships
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with a range of employers, including SMEs, corporate organisations and public sector organisations, specifically within the fire sector
- Identify and secure new employer partnerships aligned to subject areas
- Act as the main point of contact for employer engagement and onboarding activity
Employer Engagement Activity
- Plan and deliver remote employer engagement events for each subject area
Alumni Engagement
- Gather diagnostic destination information of alumni
- Develop and maintain an active network of alumni and industry professionals
- Engage alumni in guest lectures and curriculum‑related activity
Curriculum Collaboration
- Work closely with delivery teams to embed employer engagement into teaching and learning
- Work with delivery teams to plan new cohort intakes for each subject area
Learner Pipeline
- Develop and manage a structured pipeline of new and progressing learners
- Coordinate compliance documentation upon onboarding of employers and learners for each cohort
Essential Criteria
- Experience in employer engagement, partnerships, or business development within the health & safety and/or fire safety sector
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
- Experience of organising employer engagement activity
Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
