We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly minibus driver to join our team of drivers that provide a safe and efficient service for our pupils on one of the school's designated bus routes.
Job description
As a minibus driver, you will be responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of pupils on designated school routes, ensuring timely collection and drop-off each day. You will be required to maintain the minibus to a high standard through regular cleaning, safety inspections, refuelling, and reporting maintenance needs. You have to follow all school policies and health & safety procedures, communicate effectively with parents when required, and provided cover for other drivers to ensure uninterrupted transport services. Also we will require support for the General Services Manager with additional operational duties if needed.
We also have a few essential requirements:
- Hold a current clean and valid D1 unrestricted or a PCV licence or a D1 restricted (car licence obtained prior to 01.01.1997).
- Competent to undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks and carry out basic maintenance on the vehicle.
Employment details:
- Employment type - Term time only, part time, permanent
- Working hours - 26 hours a week
Weekly schedule:
- Morning run Monday to Friday - 6:30 to 9:00
- Afternoon run Monday to Thursday - 16:00 to 19:00
- Afternoon run Friday - 16:00 to 17:30
