Lakes Home Care is looking for an experienced Senior Care & Support Worker to join our growing domiciliary care team in the South Lakes.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines delivering exceptional person-centred care with supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the service. You'll continue to provide hands-on care while taking on additional responsibilities to help maintain our high standards and support the continued growth of the company.
This job is for a full time position, which would usually be Monday - Friday (37.5 hours), with on call responsibilities that include weekends, however, as we are a small company we are able to be flexible for the right candidate. So please do drop us a message you require certain hours.
About the Role
As a Senior Care & Support Worker, you'll provide high-quality home care, companionship, personal care, outings and domestic support to clients living in their own homes throughout Kendal, Windermere and the South Lakes.
Alongside this, you'll support the management team by assisting with duties which may include tasks such as:
- Supporting with care plans and care reviews.
- Completing client assessments and meet-and-greets
- Providing on-call support on a rota basis.
- Carrying out spot checks, observations and competency assessments.
- Mentoring and supporting new members of staff.
- Ensuring accurate care records and documentation are completed.
- Helping maintain compliance with CQC standards and company policies.
- Acting as a positive role model for the wider care team.
Please note: this position will be mainly care, at least to start with, to support to our current management team, so please do not apply if you are looking for an office based role.
This is a full-time position. As a small company, we're able to offer flexibility where possible, with daytime, evening and weekend work available. Most of our care is delivered between 8:00am and 8:00pm, seven days a week.
About Lakes Home Care
We're a small, family-run domiciliary care company providing personalised support to people living in their own homes throughout Kendal, Windermere and the surrounding South Lakes.
What makes us different is our focus on helping people continue enjoying the things they love. We regularly support clients to go out for lunch, walking, swimming, garden centres, climbing, trips away and even skiing at Kendal Ski Slope.
Our motto is "A Day Filled With Joy," and that's exactly what we strive to provide every single day.
Although we deliver personal care where required, much of our work centres around companionship, promoting independence and enabling people to live fulfilling lives in their own homes.
Why Join Us?
We believe happy staff provide the very best care.
As a small company, we work hard to match carers with clients they're compatible with, minimise unnecessary travel and gaps between visits, and provide genuine support whenever it's needed.
Our management team also works directly with clients, meaning we understand the realities of the role and are always available to help.
Every client receives a minimum one-hour visit, allowing you to build meaningful relationships rather than rushing from call to call.
We're also a growing company, creating opportunities for career development and progression for the right people.
