Are you an experienced Health Care Assistant looking to make a real difference in patient care? Aurora Medcare GP Practice is seeking a confident and capable HCA to join our friendly and dedicated team.
Important: This is a full-time position working across all four of our sites. Candidates must be able to commit to full-time hours and travel between sites as required.
About the Role
As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clinical team across a wide range of duties, including:
- Hypertension monitoring
- Immunisations and injections including flu, pneumonia, shingles and B12 (under Patient Specific Direction)
- NHS Health Checks
- Diabetic foot checks
- Weight management support
- Pre-diabetic lifestyle advice
- Wound care
- Cold chain management
- Stock control
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in General Practice is essential, with relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent experience demonstrated
- Be competent in carrying out clinical observations and patient care independently
- Be confident working in a busy GP setting
- Be able to work full time and work across multiple sites
- Have strong communication skills with patients and colleagues
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in immunisations and injections
- Full UK driving licence
Pay: £24,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
