Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to complete remedial / renewal works where required. All works will be agreed in advance with a working timescale for the process to minimise disruption to the ongoing business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for roof repairs to our commercial property.
This role requires a strong understanding of traditional slate roofing along with all safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights.
This position is available to highly trained individuals on a short term 3 month contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace roofing slate where applicable.
- Conduct inspections of roofs to identify damage and potential issues and agree appropriate solutions.
- Measure and produce quality outcomes to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Working safety zones may be required during works in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment by disposing of debris and securing tools after each task.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during roofing operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing is essential; familiarity with various roofing materials and techniques is preferred.
- Experience working with own hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precise measurements and quality workmanship.
