We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Registered Children's Home Manager who ideally has experience of managing multiple homes/multi-build group of homes, to oversee and lead established children’s residential homes in the Preston area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Registered Manager to build upon their existing strengths, maintain regulatory excellence, drive continuous improvement and deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for children.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements. You will support and develop your team, driving a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will already be operating as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care and possess a strong track record of achieving positive inspection outcomes, developing high-performance teams, delivering exceptional care and safeguarding standards.
It is a requirement of the post that you are part of the first level 24hr on-call rota for residential services.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensure all homes maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations
- Lead, motivate, and develop your teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Drive service improvement and achieve high standards of care and practice.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, professionals, families, and external stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve if not already held).
- Previous experience managing children's residential homes.
- Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
