Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Head Housekeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Casa Brighouse has 23 bedrooms, a wine bar, large restaurant, terraces and a large events venue and a soon to be second large events venue. The successful candidate will oversee cleaning operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold the organisation’s reputation for excellence. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment where attention to detail and organisational skills are valued. It is important to note that this is a hands on operation role and not an office position.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards
- Lead and motivate cleaning staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Implement cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Train new staff members on cleaning protocols and customer service expectations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Address guest requests or concerns promptly to uphold high levels of guest satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and staff attendance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial roles is preferred
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanour
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the workplace
