About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play an active part in daily life at the home. You’ll help create a stable routine, support children with day-to-day tasks, and take part in activities, outings and shared experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building positive relationships with children and young people
- Supporting with routines like mealtimes, school runs, activities and bedtime
- Contributing to household tasks and maintaining a well-run home
- Writing simple reports and updating care records
- Taking part in training and team reflection sessions
- Working closely with your team to keep things running smoothly
- Supporting children in making positive choices and building life skills
- Helping new or unqualified staff settle into the team
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for qualified applicants. What matters most is that you’re dependable, enthusiastic, and committed to doing a good job.
You’ll need to:
- Be 21 or over
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Be willing to do sleep-in shifts (paid at £70 per night)
- Be a team player with good communication skills
- Be confident, calm and consistent in your approach
- Hold a minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant field
