Job Overview
As an established provider of quality, targeted, tutoring services, APPLA Tuition work with schools, local authorities and families across England to provide friendly, quality tuition that is tailored to the individual needs of our students. We are looking for tutors to work on a one-to-one basis with students with special educational needs in the Liverpool area. The tutor will provide face to face support with primary age students. The sessions will usually take place in the student’s home.
Responsibilities
- Lessons are typically 1-2 hours long
- Work is typically allocated in full or half (school) days
- Lessons usually take place on site, so you will be expected to travel
- Dynamic planning of sessions to meet individual needs of students with EHCP
- Working with students seeking support with primary age English/Maths/Science
- Understanding and compliance with Safeguarding policy
Requirements:
- Available on a minimum of 4 days per week (Mon-Fri) for at least 2 hours on each day
- Must have a strong subject knowledge.
- Ideally have experience working with disadvantaged students/students with special educational needs
- Must be personable
- Have a professional nature
- Be qualified to at least A-Level grade in Maths
- No formal teaching qualification necessary
- Tutoring experience preferred but training will be provided
- Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) enhanced with child barred list check, which is free from any convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings
Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- teaching/tutoring: 1 year+ (preferred)

Pay: £25.00-£32.50 per hour
