Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments.
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating personal details and treatment notes using IT systems.
- Support administrative tasks such as booking appointments, managing patient flow, and handling correspondence.
- Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless care delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of patient care principles and nursing practices relevant to dentistry.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling systems.
- Strong communication skills to reassure patients and work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
