Responsibilities
- Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Promote positive behavior and social skills through encouragement and mentoring
- Assist with the organization of lunchtime activities and games to foster engagement
- Support children with special educational needs or disabilities, including those with autism, to ensure inclusive participation
- Maintain a clean and orderly dining area, encouraging good hygiene practices
- Communicate effectively with staff, children, and parents when necessary to address concerns or provide updates
- Follow policies and procedures related to safeguarding, health & safety, and behaviour management
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or special educational needs, including autism, is advantageous
- Strong communication skills are essential for fostering positive relationships and ensuring clear interactions
- Familiarity with special education practices will help create an inclusive lunchtime environment
- Previous experience in supervising or managing groups of children demonstrates your ability to handle dynamic situations confidently
