We're Hiring – Experienced Plumber / Bathroom Fitter (Disabled Adaptations)

Due to continued growth, Nu Build (Barnsley) Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Plumber / Bathroom Fitter to join our expanding team. We have opportunities available for both PAYE employees and self-employed subcontractors.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber / Bathroom Fitter to carry out bathroom installations and disabled adaptations across both private and local authority properties.
Typical duties include:
- Installation of complete bathrooms and wet rooms
- Installation of disabled level access showers
- Bathroom refurbishments and adaptations
- Plumbing alterations and first and second fix plumbing
- Installation of shower trays, sanitaryware, vanity units and shower screens
- Installation of wall panels, tiling and associated finishing works
- Pipework alterations and drainage modifications
- Working alongside other trades to deliver high-quality adaptations
- Carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance works where required
Applicants must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrate excellent workmanship, and take pride in delivering a high standard of work. Experience working within occupied properties and providing excellent customer service is essential.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (essential)
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Relevant plumbing qualifications and proven bathroom fitting experience
- Experience installing disabled level access showers and wet rooms
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Ability to work in occupied and void properties while maintaining a professional and respectful approach
Desirable Skills
- Wall and floor tiling
- Joinery and bathroom finishing works
- Experience carrying out local authority or social housing adaptations
- Knowledge of disabled adaptations and accessibility requirements
- Any additional multi-trade experience would be an advantage
