Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Assembler & Person to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling a variety of garden furniture pieces such a teak benches, armchairs and lounge furniture with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience in assembly or warehouse environments. The position involves physical work, including heavy lifting, and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and safety.
Duties
- Assemble furniture components using hand tools, power tools.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction.
- Stuffing and preparing garden furniture cushions for dispatch
- Conduct quality checks on assembled furniture to ensure durability and finish standards are met
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials and finished products within the workspace
- Load and unload containers when required of garden furniture
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve assembly challenges promptly
- Assist with warehouse organisation, including inventory management and stock replenishment
- Proven experience in furniture assembly or warehouse operations is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 25kg or more)
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
- Prior experience working with assembly instructions, technical drawings, or schematics is advantageous
- A proactive attitude towards safety protocols and quality standards is essential
