Contract: Temporary (4-5 Weeks).
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role combining warehouse duties with light assembly work, preparing smart hot water cylinders for installation.
Working within a busy warehouse environment, you'll be responsible for retrieving stock, fitting safety valves, carrying out quality checks, repackaging products, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
What You'll Be Doing
- Picking and retrieving hot water cylinders from warehouse stock locations.
- Safely moving products using pallet trucks, trolleys, hoists, and other approved handling equipment.
- Removing packaging and inspecting products for any damage.
- Fitting Temperature & Pressure (T&P) relief valves using specialist tools and sealants.
- Carrying out quality and leak checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Repackaging, labelling and preparing units for storage and distribution.
- Updating stock records and maintaining accurate traceability documentation.
- Keeping the work area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Reporting any defects, safety concerns or damaged equipment promptly.
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, stores or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working with plumbing components, mechanical assembly or tools would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Counterbalance forklift, pallet truck or warehouse equipment experience.
- MEWP/IPAF licence.
- Knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of materials.
- Experience using torque wrenches, hand tools or light assembly equipment.
