Growth & Operations Lead (Part-Time)

The Role
Sophelia is a jewellery brand focused on meaningful gifting for life's special occasions, from birthdays to anniversaries. We're stocked with Debenhams, Wolf & Badger and Notonthehighstreet, and we're about to move into new offices in St Albans as we enter an exciting next chapter, including expansion into the US market.
We're looking for a self-motivated go-getter to join us as we scale. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys figuring things out and taking ownership, rather than waiting to be told what to do. You'll be involved in everything and will play a key part in our growth, with no two days looking the same and more opportunity opening up as the company grows.
Hours & Pay
- 3 days per week, 10am to 3pm, with opportunity to grow to 5 days per week
- £15 per hour
- Based at our new offices in St Albans, a 10 minute walk from St Albans station
- Start date: mid-October
This role is ideal for someone (including parents returning to work) who wants hours that fit around the school day.
What You'll Be Doing
The role can include anything that will help the company grow, spanning business development, marketing, operations, and customer service. This will flex depending on what the business needs most at any given time, and could include:
- Exploring new marketing and business development initiatives
- Helping plan and coordinate marketing events
- Developing new retail partnerships and building relationships with existing retailers
- Using AI tools to help automate and streamline day-to-day systems
- Emailing subscribers and running marketing campaigns
- Handling customer enquiries and providing great service
- Dispatching and managing orders
- Improving internal systems and processes as we grow
What We're Looking For
- A self-starter who is comfortable problem-solving independently
- Someone proactive, resourceful, and genuinely motivated to help the business succeed
- Retail experience is a strong plus, particularly experience onboarding or working with large retailers
- Comfortable juggling different types of tasks and switching between them smoothly
- Interest in growing with the company as new opportunities open up
