The governing body are looking to appoint a School Support Officer that shares the Alway Primary School vision. The successful candidate will work with the Senior School Support Officer in providing business support for the school. Experience of Microsoft Office and school based systems (SIMS and Parent Pay) together with and understanding of GDPR would be beneficial.
Under the instruction/guidance of senior staff, you will be responsible for undertaking administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school and would be expected to be professional at all times whilst delivering a first-class customer service to parents and outside agencies. The ability to work calmly with accuracy under pressure will be essential. Duties include:
Dealing with sensitive reception/visitor etc. matters.
- Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service systems / procedures / policies.
- Organise school trips/events, etc.
- Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems, e.g. Parent Pay, SIMS.
- Undertake general financial administration, e.g. receiving invoices, processing orders of supplies, compile and maintain school inventory.
- Produce lists/information/data as required, e.g. pupil data
- Maintain accurate pupil records while adhering to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
- Undertake typing and word processing and other IT-based tasks.
- Complete and submit complex forms, returns, etc., including those to outside agencies, e.g. National Assembly for Wales.
- Manage the procedures for notifying the relevant body of staffing/payroll changes for implementation
