Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Tourism Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, helping them enjoy their stay while ensuring smooth operations across our campsite and accommodation facilities. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable experiences for visitors from around the world.
We are looking for an additional full time permanent tourism assistant to join our friendly hard working team. The chosen person will work on all aspects of the business, including customer care, bookings, check-ins and check-outs, visitor information, and housekeeping.
Duties
- Welcome guests upon arrival, providing information about the site’s facilities and local attractions.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for campers and private room guests.
- Answer guest inquiries via phone, email, or in person, offering helpful recommendations and support.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of communal areas, including shower blocks and reception.
- Support booking processes, manage reservations, and update availability records.
- Provide great customer service to all visitors to the site.
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including guest rooms, common areas, and shower blocks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed and guest needs are met promptly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- A proactive attitude towards work and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for hospitality and customer service.
- Computer skills for managing bookings and guest records, dealing with emails, and answering customer enquiries.
- Previous experience in tourism, hospitality or customer service is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods or challenging situations.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
