Job Title: Powered Access Engineer
Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £40,000.00 Plus Overtime Available (£26 per Hour)
Shift: 40hrs Monday to Friday (Days)
Powered Access Engineer - About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Powered Access Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of a range of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and associated access equipment based at our depot.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all Powered machinery is maintained to the highest standard, minimising downtime, and keeping our equipment safe, reliable, and ready for hire.
Powered Access Engineer - Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance, servicing, and repairs on MEWPs and access platforms.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Complete thorough examinations and ensure compliance with LOLER regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Support colleagues and liaise with the service team to prioritise workloads.
Powered Access Engineer - Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a MEWP Engineer, Plant Fitter, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines.
- CAP or equivalent qualification preferred.
- IPAF certification desirable.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence an advantage).
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to fault-finding and problem-solving.
