Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The position involves hands-on work requiring mechanical knowledge, the use of hand and power tools, and physical strength for heavy lifting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and proper inflation levels
- Remove and replace tyres using appropriate hand and power tools
- Perform tyre balancing and alignment procedures as required
- Conduct routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Assist customers with tyre-related enquiries, providing professional advice and excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to safety standards
- Document all work performed accurately in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in vehicle maintenance preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in tyre fitting and repair
- Experience with vehicle maintenance or tyre services is essential; we will be testing the candidate before hiring
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 25kg) and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory
