The Growth Company’s (GC) Marketing Manchester team has an opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join the Sector Marketing function, supporting the delivery of impactful, high-profile campaigns that showcase Manchester’s unique strengths and position it as a leading destination for investment. The role will help drive the priorities of Invest Manchester, promoting the city as an outstanding place to do business across key priority sectors and international markets.

We work to raise the profile of the region through targeted marketing campaigns, major events, and strong partnerships. We support the visitor economy by attracting tourists and high-profile conferences, while collaborating with businesses and stakeholders to showcase the region’s unique strengths and opportunities. Through everything we do, we aim to drive economic growth and enhance Manchester’s global reputation.
This is a hybrid role, with one day per week based at Lee House, our Manchester office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of high-profile marketing campaigns that promote Manchester as a leading destination for investment across key sectors and international markets.
- Assist with the planning, promotion and delivery of investor and delegation visits, working closely with Invest Manchester’s Business Development teams.
- Manage and support B2B social media campaigns, including content scheduling, monitoring performance and measuring campaign effectiveness.
- Produce, distribute and promote digital communications, including newsletters, to increase audience engagement and subscriber growth.
- Maintain marketing databases and CRM systems, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
- Coordinate the development and distribution of marketing collateral across digital, print and video channels.
- Collate and analyse campaign performance data, including web statistics, event attendance and engagement metrics, to support evaluation and reporting.

- Passionate about delivering impactful marketing activity and achieving measurable results.
Skills Required:
- Excellent planning, organisational and project coordination skills.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience managing social media campaigns for a B2B audience across paid and organic channels.
- Good budget management skills, including supplier liaison, cost control and budget monitoring.
- Experience using CRM databases and marketing management systems.
- Strong awareness of business trends, market developments and commercial opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- A professional qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
