Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis, working early mornings for approximately 14 hours per week in the vibrant city centre. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for maintaining cleanliness and organisation in commercial environments. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming and hygienic space for our clients and visitors, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are consistently met. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated commercial premises, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to company standards
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, including window cleaning or deep cleans during scheduled periods
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in the early morning hours
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently within the allocated time frame
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is advantageous
