We are looking for a kitchen assistant who can prepare afternoon tea for children aged 0-5 years and support the chef .
Ideally someone who will can cook a range of foods and has work experience in working in nursery/school kitchen. Record keeping and maintaining stock levels according to the menu. Someone who has experience in leading an EHO inspection would be a bonus.
You should have a passion for cooking and enjoy working around children. You should be able to cover the kitchen in the absence of the chef.
You will take pride in your work. You will required to provide nutritional food for all of our children whilst accommodating for specific allergies or dietary requirements.
You will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the nursery kitchen within company, environmental and other regulatory authority guidelines paying particular attention to the safe preparation of food and the needs of the children whilst ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, health and safety are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
A DBS check will be required and all relevant training will be provided.
Working between the hours of 1pm to 5pm on a contract of 15-20 hours per week.
